Jamie Foxx's sister with Down syndrome shares photo in striped dress and bunny ears

DeOndra Dixon has been described in several occasions as the real star of the family by her talented brother, Jamie Foxx. She’s a very special lady, and in a recent photo she showed off her cute side with bunny ears.

Jamie Foxx is a triple threat in the entertainment industry: he can sing, act and does comedy, but when it comes to speaking about his younger sister DeOndra, he says she’s the real star of the family.

She has Down syndrome, but her family has never treated her differently. She got on the school bus with all the other kids, went to a regular school and was just another member of her family while growing up.

“We weren’t trippin’ on the fact that she had Down syndrome. We were trippin’ on the fact that she was cute. She was this little chocolate ball,” said Foxx to People magazine of the moment he met his newborn sister.

The 34-years-old woman is not shy. DeOndra has stolen the spotlight from Jamie in several occasions. At the red carpet of 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, she confessed her undying love for Nick Cannon and danced in front of 26 million viewers without a concern.

She also made a special appearance at her brother’s music video for the single “Blame It On The Alcohol,” and did such an amazing job that she caught the attention of music producer Quincy Jones, who put Jamie in contact with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

DeOndra soon became an ambassador for the organization, even going to Congress to talk about Down syndrome.

“She speaks her mind and knows that there’s nothing she can’t do. She has such a special quality, and she can light up a room. I don’t know where she gets it. It’s amazing,” said Jamie of his sister.

Dixon recently shared a cute photo on her Facebook page rocking a headband with bunny ears and a striped dress. In her archive, she also has a photo next to her long-time crush, Chris Brown.

Foxx actually revealed once on “The Quee Latifah Show,” that the controversial star has made his sister happy in several occasions, saying:

“There’s a young man by the name of Chris Brown, who always gets a whole lotta things said about him and he does a few things that maybe we may take out of context. But when I call Chris Brown about my sister, because she has a huge crush on him- he drops everything. No cameras around, he comes and dances with her, hangs out with her…”

We’re glad to know that DeOndra has such a big fan on her brother and that she has been able not only to meet her favorite stars but also to work for her community by speaking up as their representative.
