Singer and actress Brandy Norwood, known professionally as Brandy, took to Instagram to share how her daughter had spent her ‘sweet 16.’

Her image showed Sy’rai Iman Smith wearing a white Gucci shirt, a matching coat, blue jean skirt, and red shoes with a couple of bags on her hands, suggesting that she had bought all of them.

One of the aspects that attracted more attention about the post was Brandy’s caption. The singer revealed that she had taken Sy’rai to Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles so she could spend the birthday money that her uncle Ray J and aunt Princess Love gave her.

Brandy finished her caption by joking, telling Sy’rai not to get used to it. As soon as she uploaded that photo, her fans and followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

One of them was Instagram user Ericka Means, who not only wished a happy birthday to Sy’rai but also said that she was beautiful and that she looked very happy. User @royalblu20 also pointed out that Sy’rai was growing into a beautiful young lady.

Sy’rai is Brandy’s only child. The young woman was born in June 2002 when the singer was in a relationship with producer Robert ‘Big Bert’ Smith. Unfortunately for the family, the couple parted ways in 2004.

When that relationship ended, Brandy started dating NBA guard Quentin Richardson, who was playing for the Los Angeles Clippers. By July 2004 the couple was engaged already

Nevertheless, things didn’t work out and they split in 2005. According to Reality TV World, Brandy was so in love that she even got Quentin’s face tattooed on her back, but she had to cover it with a cat when their relationship ended.

Brandy has been very busy taking roles in different films, series, and reality shows. The most important part she has taken recently is Zoe Moon in Zoe Ever After.

The latest project in which Brandy has worked on is Star, where she took the role of Cassie Brown for the second season of the show.
