Bow Wow looks identical to his estranged father after revealing his biracial identity
Rapper and actor Shad Gregory Moss, best known as Bow Wow, took to Instagram to post a very old photo with his father. The resemblance both share is uncanny.
In the image, Bow must have been three or four years old. He was wearing red sweatpants, a white shirt covered by a red and blue jacket, white shoes, and a blue baseball cap.
Alfonso Preston Moss, Bow’s father, wore a similar style as he put on blue jeans, white shoes, a black sweater, and a green and red cap.
As soon as he uploaded that photo, his fans and followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. One of them was Instagram user @itzkandykane, who pointed out that the rapper looked just like his father.
Another Instagram user, @justcallmelightening, chimed in to praise Alfonso’s look by saying that Bow’s father was a ‘whole snack’ in the photo.
Celebritist previously reported that Bow grew up in the middle of the spotlight given the fact that his career in the entertainment industry started when he was just a young boy.
One of the things that he kept to himself for more time was the whereabouts of Alfonso, who abandoned Bow and his family several years ago. However, things started improving in 2011, when Bow contacted him when he had his own daughter.
The 31-year-old rapper, who is currently working on the reality show Growing Up Hip-Hop: Atlanta, decided to forgive his father. In an interview Bow had with All Hip-Hop, he shared a couple of details about the whole situation.
One of the things that surprised Bow the most was that they were contacting and talking to each other when he was 30 years old, and not when he was in his teen years, when the rapper really needed his father.
Bow confessed that he contacted Alfonso as a way to close that part of his life. He admitted he didn’t want to get a call with the message that something had happened to his father and he never talked to him again.
Apart from that, Bow didn’t want Alfonso to believe that his son hated him because it was not the case.
Even though abandoning his family is not an option, Bow confessed that, now that he is a grown-up man, he understands more why his father left.
The rapper pointed out that the problems he and his partner Joie Chavis have endured made him realized that fact.
Bow admitted that Alfonso had a serious alcohol problem and that, of course, he didn’t want to be around a man with such addiction.
Later, Bow pointed out that his career also took him to other places, which made even more difficult for him to be around his father.
Even though both men now talk to each other more than in previous years, Bow confessed he is still somehow apprehensive around Alfonso as he is not sure where to start re-building their relationship.
The truth is that contacting him was a start. Only time will tell the direction their relationship will take.
