Kim Kardashian has been considering a career in public service ever since her meeting with President Trump.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian, who is a regular figure in the entertainment news, was recently in the news for political reasons last month, which was a first time for her.

She appeared on the talk show of CNN's The Van Jones Show hosted by news commentator Van Jones and discussed her experience fighting for the freedom of Alice Marie on June 8.

Kim had attended a private meeting with President Donald Trump on May 30, in the Oval Office. The meeting was scheduled to discuss the reduction and/or pardoning of sentence for a non-violent drug offender, Alice Marie Johnson.

Alice had been serving a life sentence for cocaine possession and other charges. She spent 21 years of her life behind bars.

Her pitch to the President turned out to be successful as Alice was released from prison recently. This affected the reality star deeply, and she got visibly emotional just speaking about it on the interview with CNN’s Van Jones.

“I honestly saw that if I could use my platform just to do something for one person, that it opens the conversation for so much more and for other people to want to do the same thing.”

As she is not a registered Republican, and doesn’t share the political views of President Trump, Kardashian said that she kept her political views aside and went in just for her issue of Alice’s prison sentence.

She believed that if people put their feelings aside and work on the important issues, the world can be a better place.

Though she may not be getting into public service just now, the 37-year-old mother of two said that it is an option and she didn’t rule out a run for the oval office.

Kim added that the fight for Alice was not the end of her political involvement. She promised to take on issues that are important to her as and when she got opportunities to do so.
