According to Bustle, the singer can wear gender fluid clothes like nobody else and her most recent outing set that clear. Her gown consisted of a tight green sleeveless corset that ended in a long rainbow skirt.

While her outfit was the highlight of the event, the accessories she chose were also striking. She put on a black hat with a red stripe in front of it and a multi-colored purse that attracted a lot of attention.

In an interview Monáe had with Rolling Stone last April, she confessed that she has been in sexual relationships with men and women.

The singer pointed out that she initially identified herself as a bisexual. However, when she started reading more about pansexuality, she considered there were several aspects that she could define herself.

Monáe finally admitted that she was willing and open to learning more about who she was. When she just started her career, the singer felt insecure about living up to ‘impossible showbiz ideals.’

She pointed out that it had to do with the fear of being judged as she was supposed to look in a certain way coming into the entertainment industry, but Monáe didn’t look like ‘a stereotypical black female artist.’

According to Daily Mail, Monáe recently released her third studio album titled Dirty Computer. It peaked at N° 6 on the US Billboard 200 chart. So far, she has got six Grammy Award nominations, which proves how good performer she is.

Apart from that, she has an impressive acting career as the singer has been portrayed in movies like Moonlight and Hidden Figures.

The most recent project Monáe worked on is titled Welcome to Marwen. It is a psychological-biographical comedy-drama film that is set to be released in November 2018.
