Kelly Clarkson reveals the book that helped her lose weight
Kelly Clarkson dazzled the audience at the red carpet event at the 2018 CMT Awards, not just with her amazing fashion statement, but also her incredibly toned and slim figure.
Amid several attempts from media to extract the secrets behind her surprising weight loss, the iconic country star managed to keep a total silence on things and evaded all the questions.
Finally, she spoke with Extra TV during the same red carpet event to explain about one crucial element that is responsible for her reduced weight and slimmer figure.
Clarkson candidly told the news source that she read a book that completely changed her diet as well as helped get her thyroid issue under control.
The star revealed how she was reading a book for her "autoimmune disease" which caused her thyroid issues. Fortunately, she explained that her thyroid levels are now "back up," and she is no longer on medicine.
"I’m not on medicine anymore because of this book, it’s called, The Plant Paradox. It’s basically about how we cook our food, non-GMO, no pesticides, eating really organic,” she told Extra TV.
Clarkson also stated that she had not been able to exercise, which should definitely come as a big surprise to many of her followers.
“I literally haven’t worked out at all,” she further stressed. “I’m not working out! I think people think I’m working out and I’m like, ‘Don’t think I’m going to come play some sport!’”
Clarkson looked stunning in a black dress during the red carpet event, where she was accompanied by her The Voice contestant, Kaleb Lee, and his wife.
Previously, Clarkson dodged the question regarding her weight loss by crediting her slimmer look to the effort of her makeup artists and stylists.
She told ET Online, “I have to shout out my whole glam squad,” before joking about hiring "Harry Potter" and "SPANX" to achieve the magical transformation.
