'The Haves & Have Nots' Angela Robinson shares photo with husband and their first baby son

The actress has never had any children, until she and her husband welcomed a new baby boy to their family this month.

Angela Robinson of The Haves and Have Nots has become a mother for the first time when she and her husband Scott Whitehurst adopted a baby on Father's Day 2018.

She took to Instagram on June 17 to share a photo of herself and Whitehurst cooing over the smallest member of their family as she held him.

The couple named their son Robinson Scott, but shared that they would fondly refer to him as Robbie.

"Adoption has gifted us beyond measure. Wishing my husband the Happiest FIRST Father’s Day Ever. #blessed #newparents #seasoned #inlove #godstimingisperfect #reallife #fathersday," Robinson captioned the beautiful shot.

The couple looked utterly awed by their sweet little boy in the shot, as both are staring lovingly at him. Whitehurst opted for a grey button-down shirt for the shot, while Robinson wore a plane white shirt with a criss-cross cut to it.

While Robinson is holding her son in the picture, his dad is holding onto on of his tiny feet.

The actress, who is best known for her role as Veronica Harrington on the Oprah Winfrey Network primetime soap The Haves and Have Nots.

But in October 2015, Robinson shared that her character on the show was taken a bit too seriously by some fans, who didn't seem to realize that her role is, of course, scripted.

“Well, I’ve had someone hit me once. It was okay. It wasn’t really violent. It was just really jarring at the time. This lady just came up to me and slapped me in the back and said, ‘You just going to have to do better.’ I was like, ‘With what?’ ‘With your child, and I said, ‘I don’t have any children.’ I think because of the huge success of reality TV people think they’re real people," she told Tallahassee Democrat.

The actress made her early appearances on stage, both on and off Broadway, in productions such as Wizard of Oz, Dreamgirls, and The Color Purple. Before joining The Haves and Have Nots, she appeared in Law & Order: SVU.
