A-list Atlanta stars brighten Cardi B & Offset's baby shower as her due-date nears
A few days after confirming her secret wedding to Offset, Cardi B celebrated the near arrival of her first child through a baby shower. The hip-hop star who is currently pregnant with a baby girl, hosted a "Bronx Fairytale" inspired baby shower in Atlanta last night.
The 25-year-old showed off her huge baby bump in a blush pink sleeveless bodycon dress, which featured a thigh-high leg slit and floor length skirt. Adding to her elegant look, she layered some silver jewelry on her neck, and donned a pair of massive chandelier earrings.
Meanwhile, her husband Offset chose to wear a dark denim suit for the occasion, which ultimately complemented his wife's outfit.
While most baby showers are often daytime soirees filled with fun party games, Cardi's baby shower was a full-on night party. In the event, there was a "Bardi Baby Bodega" serving drinks, desserts, and baby gear, and there was a library stocked with baby books, and a dance floor.
Being the "lit" artist that she is, of course she expects nothing less from her baby shower, as she previously shared with Rolling Stone.
"I want a lit baby shower. My baby shower's not starting at no 5:00. My [party] is going to start at 9 p.m. because that's how I celebrate, that's how Caribbean people celebrate. I don't like baby showers that be at 5 p.m. in the backyard, eating, cooking hors d'oeuvres."
Attending the festivities included A-listers like rapper Lil Mama, known as Niatia Kirkman in real life, Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, Monica Brown, and many more.
Cardi B is reportedly due to give birth in July, and given that she kept her marriage a secret for more than half a year, people are wondering whether or not she'll be keeping her birth private as well to provide her and Offset enough time to cherish with their daughter prior to sharing bits and pieces of their daughter's life to the general public.
