Beach goers enjoy a fun day out until freak hail storm hits
Shocking video shows devastating storm hit crowded beach
Beach-goers in Novosibirsk, Siberia, were happily enjoying the sunny summer day on a fluvial beach on the banks of the River Ob when the weather turned sour.
Sunbathers and swimmers suddenly had to abandon their happy revels when a freak storm broke out, and the incident was captured on video and posted on Youtube.
In the clip, people suddenly flee their towels and the water to seek shelter from the freak storm, which saw temperatures suddenly drop from 41ºC to 21ºC in a few short minutes.
People can be seen fleeing in horror when the huge hailstones start hurtling down. The visitors of the popular river resort said that the day was sunny and pleasant, up until the moment that hailstones, some the size of golf balls and hen eggs, started falling from the sky.

'My husband was protecting my young daughter but his back was exposed to the hailstones and he has bruising all over it.'
The vacationers were frightened, but luckily no serious injuries were reported on the beach, apart from a few bruises, and scrapes.
Less fortunate were two toddlers aged 3 and 4 who were killed by the sudden storm in the nearby lakeside town of Bredsk.
The two little girls died after sustaining traumatic brain injuries when a tree fell on a tent, where they were taking shelter from the storm with their parents.
