Remember 'Webster' star Emmanuel Lewis? He is 47 now & looks great in photo with Chris Tucker
Actor Emmanuel Lewis, best known as Webster in the ‘80s series with the same title, stopped acting several years ago. He is 47 now and looks completely different.
Last month, Lewis and comedian Chris Tucker got together to play golf. Tucker took to Instagram to share a photo of the unusual outing. In the image, both men were portrayed on a golf cart.
Lewis put on black pants, sweater, and hat, as well as red shoes. Tucker, who was on the wheel, opted for white shorts and a matching sweater. As for the accessories, the comedian chose a white cap and blue sunglasses.
In the caption, Tucker asked his followers if they had selected their teams already, next to the hashtag Chris Tucker Celebrity Golf Tour.
The comedian was referring to the golf tournament founded by the Chris Tucker Foundation in conjunction with New Life Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.
As Online Athens reported, several athletes and entertainers including boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, former NBA players Alonzo Mourning and Dikembe Mutombo, along with singer Jeffrey Osborne have participated in the competition.
The tournament intends to raise funds for programs to support children and education in Atlanta.
As Celebritist previously reported, Lewis became a star early on in his life, but fame didn’t last long for the actor. The most important role he got was as Webster in the ‘80s sitcom.
His character was a black boy adopted by a white couple after losing his parents in an accident. Lewis was twelve years old when he started filming the series, but Webster was only six years old.
Before reaching ‘stardom’ with the previously mentioned show, he took a couple of commercial gigs for brands such as Campbell’s Soup, Burger King, Life Cereal, Colgate, and many others.
When Webster came to its end in the late ‘80s, Lewis dedicated his time to finish high school, and then immediately enrolled at Clark Atlanta University graduating with a degree in theater arts in 1997.
He divided his time between college and working, taking small roles in some of the most iconic series from that time. Finding acting roles was hard for Emmanuel because of his stature and young-looking face, which makes him look like a teenager even though he’s already 47-years-old.
At the moment, there is not much information about Lewis’ source of income. The truth is that the man seems to be in good spirits in the photo that Tucker shared.
