'DWTS' stars post previously unseen video of their wedding day

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd had two wedding ceremonies: a smaller one at city hall and a bigger, more traditional one with guests and cake.

On Sunday, July 8, 2018, the coupled celebrated the new year as husband and wife, and Chmerkovskiy shared a very special video of the intimate ceremony that took place at New York City's City Hall.

38-year-old Chmerkovskiy confessed that it felt as if New York was marrying them and Murgatroyd didn't want to let the occasion pass her by without sharing a romantic post of her own.

According to Chmerkovskiy, who, like his wife, is a professional dancer on the popular show Dancing with the Stars, said that it was one of the 'most exciting days' of his life. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa.

Although Murgatroyd wasn't wearing a wedding dress, the groom admitted that he couldn't take his eyes off his future bride on the way to City Hall.

In the video, 31-year-old Murgatroyd can be seen wearing a one-sleeve light-blue blouse, a pair of camel-colored pants and high heels. The groom opted for a simple black shirt and white pants.

In an Instagram tribute, Murgatroyd shared that she couldn't be happier and was sure that she had made the right choice marrying Chmerkovskiy because he was the one.

"There was something so electric between us that people will still tell me about to this day. I love you @maksimc, this has been an incredible, outrageous year for us! I pray we are this happy for the rest of our lives."
