Johnny Depp changes knuckle tattoo he got in honor of ex-wife

It was the second time Johnny Depp changed his commemorative tattoo in 2 years.

After a bitter divorce and an out-of-court settlement, actor Johnny Depp still has some unresolved issues with his ex-wife, Amber Heard. He recently altered the knuckle tattoo that he got in honor of Heard while they were still a couple.

Friend and fellow band mate, Tommy Henriksen posted an image of the freshly tattooed over knuckle on his Instagram page. He captioned the photo addressing fans of Depp, “You wanted it… you got it.”

Henriksen and Depp are part of the band Hollywood Vampires. Depp’s original tattoo spelled ‘SLIM,’ which is a nickname he used for Heard. After 15 months of marriage, the couple split in the mid-2016.

It was during this tumultuous time that Depp first altered his tattoo from SLIM to SCUM. Heard accused Depp of domestic violence and filed for a restraining order.

While Depp denied the accusation, the couple proceeded with the divorce with an out-of-court settlement of $7 million. According to People, Heard donated all the amount to charity.

Roughly two years to the first correction, the Pirates of the Caribbean star has again altered the tattoo to know read SCAM instead. As per the image shared by Henriksen, Depp got an A printed in the form of an Anarchy sign tattooed over the C.

The letter 'A' was tattooed in bright red, which was in stark contrast with the rest of the tattoo in plain black. Depp is not at the liberty to talk about the circumstances of his divorce, due to an NDA signed as part of the divorce proceedings.

However, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Depp did reveal that he was at one of his lowest points in life during the divorce, especially since it coincided with the passing of his mother due to cancer.

The duo first met in 2011 on the set of The Rum Diary. They got married in February 2015 and Heard filed for a divorce in 2016, 15 months after their marriage.
