Tika Sumpter's little daughter drives her own Tesla car in heart-melting picture
The “The Haves & Have Nots” star has been very protective of her 1-year-old daughter on social media, only sharing photos from her back to protect her identity. Little Ella Loren already has a car, and even her mom is feeling a bit of envy.
Tika Sumpter surprised the world on August 2016 when she announced her pregnancy two months before giving birth. Her baby was born in October, and since then, Tika has been careful not to share too much of the little girl.
However, she has found a way to share with her fans some of the cute moments with her daughter by only posting pics of her back. One of the most recent photos Sumpter shared on Instagram shows her daughter driving around her own Tesla car.
The mini version of the car was a gift the girl received from her godparents, Jason Bolden and his boyfriend, Adair Curtis. The proud mom even joked about how her daughter now has a better car than hers, writing in her caption:
“When your daughter has a @teslamotors, and her parents don’t. Thank you god daddy’s @jasonbolden and @adair_curtis -Ella-Loren.”
Like with her daughter, Tika kept the identity of her baby daddy and now fiancé away from the public for a while.
Nicholas James, whom Sumpter met at the set of “The Haves & Have Nots,” has received a lot of backlash for his relationship with Tika from people that can’t seem to fathom that she fell in love with a white man.
Speaking to Fit Pregnancy And Baby before her daughter was born, Tika revealed that she’s a mama bear and that’s precisely why she didn’t want to share with the world the identity of her boyfriend.
“I didn’t want to hear, ‘Who’s the dad? Are you with the dad?’ Social media can be harsh, and I’m a mama bear, protective of my family. So that’s why I waited to tell people, including some friends. My friends weren’t mad at me. They said, ‘You did it the way you wanted to do it. You’re an inspiration.’”
The 38-years-old beauty also admitted that the pregnancy wasn’t planned and that she’s in no hurry to get married. At the time, Nicholas still hadn't popped the question. She said:
“One of the first questions my mother asked when she found out I was pregnant was ‘Are you going to get married?’ I’d love to, but maybe in a year or so. I’ve been with my boyfriend for more than a year and a half. Our relationship is not dependent on a ring. I love him to death, and he loves me to death, and that’s all that matters to me.”
Both parents are clearly in love with their daughter, and for Sumpter is essential to raise little Ella Loren to be a boss lady when she grows older. As she said:
“There’s so much I want to teach my daughter, including humility, grace, forgiveness, and understanding. I want her to know her worth and that it’s okay to walk into a room and say, ‘Yes, I’m smart and amazing, and I have ideas.’ I want to teach her how to be a boss.”
