Biracial McClure twins' father apologizes for racist tweets and his wife bursts into tears

Toddler twin sisters Ava and Alexis McClure are the latest YouTube sensation. Their interracial family has been making it to the headlines this week thanks to a few old racist Tweets that people found on the girls’ dad, and after addressing the issue directly, their mom revealed a harsh truth.

Justin and Ami McClure are the parents of three kids, the five-year-old twins, and an eight-month-old baby, Jersey.

They have become quite famous all over social media thanks to the adorable twins and their honest toddle talks, and the fact that they have a happy and healthy interracial family

However, a few days ago Justin’s character was put on doubt after fans dig out some old tweets made by the man back in 2011 and 2012 that have clear racist intent, even though he admitted they were meant to be jokes.

On a video uploaded to the family’s YouTube channel, Ava confronted her husband about the tweets and revealed that she never knew about it until now. The mom of three admitted she was shocked to see the man she married was capable of saying such things back then.

Justin claimed he’s not racist, but also stated he could understand why his words could hurt and offend people, and he’s taking full responsibility for that. “I know I’m not a racist,” Justin told Ava, and continued:

“But I look at the things I said, and would a racist person say those things? They would. If I what I say is so offensive to someone else and it’s racist to them, then it’s racist.”

After talking about personal growth and how Justin is a clear example of how people can change their mindset through the years, Ava admitted she forgives Justin because she knows very well he’s not that man anymore.

However, their video made the couple address an issue that they never revealed in front of the cameras before and is that they met a year and a half after the twins were born.

Most of the McClure followers believed Justin was the twins’ father, but Ava had to clarify that he’s their adoptive dad.

In a heartfelt video she posted on a separate account, Ava revealed that the father of the girls was a man she married knowing it was a mistake to do so. After getting pregnant, Ava decided to leave the man. She didn’t want to bring kids into a toxic and abusive relationship, and thus, she went through a difficult pregnancy by herself.

Ava also explained they were planning on sharing the truth with the world, but they needed to make the twins understand the situation first.

To this day, Ava and Alexis are aware that Justin is not their biological father, at least to the point a five-years-old can assimilate the information.

She also explained that after that failed relationship, she was ready to raise her girls all by herself and not let another man into their lives ever again, but after meeting Justin, she changed her opinion.

“The story of how Justin and I met is the truth. Now you know when we met. It was after the girls were born. They were a little over a year old. And meeting him and as our relationship developed, it just became evident that this was meant to be that we were meant to be a family and he changed my mind on how I felt about letting a man into our lives.”
