Keep Lemons Fresh - Once a lemon has been cut in haft and squeezed for juice, what remains quickly deteriorates and goes dark. First, take your whole lemon and roll it with your palm over z flat surface. Then pierce one end of it and squeeze out as much juice as you need. Because the interior of the lemon is not exposed to the air, it will not oxidize.

Make Butter Spreadable - Butter can sometimes become so hard it is almost impossible to spread. A quick and simple way to resolve this problem is to use a cheese grater to grate the butter. It will be just the right consistency for spreading.
