Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes step out for dinner amid breakup rumors

The star couple was spotted in New York on Monday while out for the evening on a romantic dinner date at the upmarket TAO restaurant.

The 50-year-old Jamie Foxx was seen helping Katie Holmes, 37, out of a black SUV before heading to the Asian fusion restaurant hand-in-hand.

Even though they have been keeping their relationship private and out of the spotlight as much as possible, rumors of a possible break up were doing the rounds.

A source close to the couple told ET Online that the rumors were untrue. The couple values their privacy and won't 'flaunt their relationship in public.'

It is unclear when they first began dating but they were spotted dancing together in 2013, one year after her divorce from Tom Cruise.

They have an 11-year-old daughter, Suri, and Holmes has sole custody. Cruise hasn't seen his daughter in four years and fans speculate if that could be due to his affiliation with the Church of Scientology.

Foxx was a friend of Cruise in the late 1990's and early 2000's. Holmes met Foxx in 2006 when she attended a football game with Cruise and Foxx.

As reported by People, Holmes wore a Zimmerman two-piece outfit their date which featured white high-waisted shorts and an off the shoulder top with lace trim.

She accessorized with a red handbag, strappy high heels shoes, and sunglasses. Foxx looked dashing in a pair of white pants with a black polo shirt.

Fans of Holmes can look forward to her upcoming projects. She will appear as Helen Morrison in The Gift, which is not related to her 2000 film of the same name.

The film is currently in post-production. Foxx is working on Spawn as Al Simmons. He also starred as Little John in Robin Hood, which will be released in November.

All-Star Weekend will be released in 2019, and Just Mercy is still in pre-production.
