The teaser, which was released in May, is a four-minute video loaded with information about the main characters, as well as the series plot.

Fans had the first look and got to see Jay Hernandez in action as the new Thomas Magnum, the lead role that was originally played by Tom Selleck.

Magnum is an ex-Navy seal who decided to work as a private investigator based in Hawaii.

From 1980 until 1988, Magnum P.I. captured the audiences' attention and got them hooked with Magnum’s adventures.

The iconic role was a big deal at the time. In fact, it was considered as Selleck’s big break in acting.

For the reboot, Hernandez – who played as Diablo on Suicide Squad - will be playing the lead.

Perdita Weeks will play the role of Juliet Higgins. In the original series, the character was initially a man, Jonathan Higgins.

Juliet is described as a property manager of the Hawaiian estate where Magnum helps with the security while living in the guest house.

The remake, made possible by Peter Lenkov, will show many of the details from the original Magnum P.I. particularly Magnum’s red Ferrari 308 GTS.

As for the other characters, Zachary Knighton will be playing as Rick Wright and Stephen Hill is TC Calvin.

The public will have to wait and see if the reboot series will be successful without the original Magnum on the show.

Selleck reportedly refused to appear on the upcoming remake, but supposedly gave it his blessing. At present, he is an actor and a producer on the hit CBS show, Blue Bloods.

Magnum P.I. is set to premiere on CMS on September 24th at 9 p.m.
