Sheree Whitfield finally reveals real reason why she's not returning to 'RHOA's new season
Sheree Whitfield has spoken up about the real reason she's no longer returning to "The Real Housewives of Atlanta.' Revealing she wasn't fired, she told fans she declined the offer she described as "low ball."
After weeks of speculation, Sheree Whitfield has finally confirmed she will no longer be returning for the eleventh season of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ and reveals the reason why.
Whitfield was one of the original cast members of the Bravo reality show when it premiered in October 2008 along with NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak Bermann, Lisa Wu and DeShawn Snow. She left the series after four seasons but returned in 2015.
Three weeks ago, the reality star already hinted at her final goodbye in the show when she posted the following cryptic message.
"Im effing PLATINUM but u prefer silver.... And thats ok. I know my worth....#I'llpass."
Finally, in response to a fan who asked her on Monday if she was returning to the program, Whitfield gave a straight answer and even revealed why.
“Currently living my best life. Was not interested in entertaining the low ball offer that was sent. Know ur worth.”
Apparently, producers of the show decided to downgrade Sheree's pay and demote her to "a friend of the show" which didn't sit well with her. When asked further if she was fired, she replied,
“Fired…No hunni, declined.”
A concerned fan inquired about how she was going to pay the bills without her show and Whitfield assured her,
“Don’t u fret…I’m good love”
The 48-year-old didn’t seem at all worried about her future as she even hinted at another show in her horizon. When a fan asked her if she had plans of coming out with her own reality show, she said,
“Yes, u may be seeing me soon.”
Whitfield has been an iconic figure in ‘RHOA’ having been part of the brawl that coined the phrase ‘Who Gon’ Check Me Boo?’ which later sold on T-shirts. She feuded with the Leakes and is Kenya Moore’s biggest foe lately, fighting over the construction of their Atlanta homes. Whitfield is also known as “the bone collector” on the show for tattling about other housewives’ drama except that of Zolciak-Bermann’s bad behavior which she chose to keep quiet about. Incidentally, Zolciak-Biermann won’t be returning to the show too.
