Mirror: Kate Middleton and Prince William keep a huge secret from George to protect him
Prince William and Kate Middleton do not want to put the pressure regarding the future responsibilities on Prince George.
According to a report from Mirror, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are planning to prolong telling Prince George about his birthright to be the King in the future.
For now, William and Middleton want to let Prince George as well as their other children, Princess Charlotte and Princess Louis, to live a normal life, enjoying their childhood years. They do not want to explain George his role in the Royal Family just yet.
On several instances, Prince William has opened up about living a normal life when all the cameras or public eyes turn away from them. “We are very normal,” he said in an interview with Mirror.

The Prince further added, “There'll be a time and a place to bring George up and understand how he fits in, in the world.”
Considering how William himself grew up with the pressure of being a King someday, it is quite understandable why he would be determined to give his own son a normal life.
In the book Charles: The Heart of a King, author Catherine Mayer explained how Prince William struggled with the weight of his future when he was growing up.
The source further reported that according to Mayer, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were trying to delay the “moment of realization” and allow him to live a normal life before the responsibility of being a King someday is thrust upon him.
Mayer also suggested that it will soon be a part of George’s upbringing. He will see and learn from his parents and grandparents performing their duties and soon begin to understand that he is in “public life.”
