Meghan Markle's half-sister breaks silence on allegedly 'cashing in' on her royal association

Samantha Markle continues to make waves on her sister's account and now reveals the reason why. During her latest explosive interview, Meghan Markle's half-sibling opens up about 'cashing in" on the Duchess' popularity without hesitation.

After months of slamming her sister Meghan Markle since her entry into British monarchy, Samantha Markle has finally revealed the true nature of her motives. During her recent interview with Good Morning Britain, the feisty half-sibling of the Duchess of Sussex openly discussed “cashing in” on her sister’s popularity and makes no apologies for it.

Rumors of Samantha’s upcoming participation in ‘Celebrity Big Brother UK’ have been fueling talks of Samantha’s money-driven motives which she finally clarified during her latest interview.

“I worked in media most of my life and in broadcasting, so because my sister is suddenly royal isn’t grounds for me to stop doing all of that. Let’s face it — we all have to survive. Money makes the world go round, so if you want to call that cashing in, that’s fine, but I think no one in media would refuse a paycheck for talking about the royal and, as a family, we’re not subject to royal protocol. Why would I stop living because we have a family issue going on?”

Samantha’s latest revelation explains all the interviews she’s granted with the media dishing out dirt on her sister. This also encouraged her to sell baby photos to media outlets who’d buy them. Explaining her side further, she added,

“No one has a copyright on our life experiences, and so, I think the public forgets that within the family, we’re each individual with our own life experiences. With all due respect, it’s not just Meghan. We’re entitled to share that. We’re entitled to be open about it and if we can shed some light on some issues for the public, then great and we can enjoy the process. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It’s not disparaging. It’s not harmful”

Samantha also addressed her recent outburst involving their father Thomas Markle and Meghan’s estranged relationship with him. In a scathing tweet, she held Meghan responsible if anything grave happened to the father. Of this she told ‘Good Morning Britain’ hosts,

“I felt as though if something were to happen to him, and he passed away, I don't think any of us could live with the fact that he died unhappy and there was no closure. I believe in her heart that she would want that also.”

Thomas has been pleading with the royal family to let him see and communicate with his daughter but to no avail. His rift with his daughter began when it was discovered he staged paparazzi photos prior to her May wedding for money. Days later, he suffered a heart attack that prohibited him from attending the ceremonies.

Meanwhile, Samantha has neither confirmed nor denied rumors she’s joining ‘Celebrity Big Brother UK’ but she did say this in response to questions about it.

“We can enjoy the process. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's not disparaging, it's not harmful."

When pressed for more, she said,

“Well, I would tell you, but then I would have to kill you, so…. I don't want to find myself in locks and stocks quite frankly. It wouldn't be becoming.”
