Melissa Gilbert wore an unconventional scarlet gown to marry well-known actor

Third time’s a charm! The actress shocked everyone by showing up in a sensational red-hot gown for her third wedding.

Melissa Gilbert and Timothy Busfield had previously shocked everyone by announcing their engagement back in January of 2013.

Nobody had even the slightest of idea that the pair had even been dating!

When the wedding finally took place, Melissa gave everyone yet another surprise by showing up in an unconventional scarlet wedding gown.

The fabulous strapless scarlet gown greatly complemented her flame-red hair as she exchanged the vows of marriage with actor Busfield

The actress also shared an awesome wedding photograph taken at the lovely gardens of San Ysidro Ranch.

She also captioned the photograph: “Thanks for all the well wishes. Here's a photo.Taken with my iPhone!!”

Gilbert looked ravishing in the photograph, donning her red-grown, flaunting those red locks in soft curls, and carrying a colorful bouquet. Busfield looked no less dashing in his navy suit and white shirt.

The San Ysidro Ranch had previously hosted several famous nuptials, including the rehearsal dinner of Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman, and the wedding night of Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie.

Sources close to the stars had also revealed that the wedding might have seem sudden to others, but Melissa and Timothy had known each other for the past 20 years. Though they had not been romantically involved during all those times.

The wedding was the third one for both the actors. Melissa had previously been married to Bo Brinkman and Bruce Boxleitner, and was even romantically linked to Tom Cruise, John Cusack, and Rob Lowe - whom she even dated for six years.
