This fall London will say goodbye to Princess Madeleine of Sweden. She plans to move to the US with her family of five.

According to the Swedish Royal Court, the family felt it was the right time to move while their children were still in pre-school age. This is the first time that the Princess will live in the US with her family of five.

On Thursday, Princess Madeleine of Sweden, 36, and her husband Chris O’Neill revealed that they were going to relocate to Florida this fall. They’ll be taking along their three children, Princess Leonore, 4, Prince Nicolas, 3, and Princess Adrienne, 4-months-old.

The Princess will, however, continue her work with the World Childhood Foundation after the move. “Princess Madeleine has a great commitment to children’s rights and will continue working with the World Childhood Foundation and, through the move, be able to focus more on the activities in the United States,” the Swedish Royal Court announced.

Currently, the family lives in London. However, Madeleine announced she would return to Sweden to give birth to their third child earlier this year.

"The time and opportunity for the United States is good for the family when the children are still in pre-school age."

She and her family are also quite familiar with the US. They have a summer home in Florida and previously lived in New York City.

Madeleine moved to New York City in 2010. It was around the same time when she began working for her mother Queen Silvia’s World Childhood Foundation as a project manager.

She and her husband also lived in New York during the early years of their marriage. Their daughter Princess Leonore was born at a private hospital in the city as well.

In addition to their big moving announcement, they also released a new official portrait of their family which was taken by photographer Lena Ahlström.
