Kim Fields, 49, grabs attention with her fiery mohawk hairstyle & checked romper in pic
Veteran actress Kim Fields proves she’s still evolving and recently surprised fans with an edgy hairstyle.
Fields has been in the industry for more than four decades and is one of the most revered multi-dimensional entertainers in the industry.
Proof of the 49-year-old's versatility was a photo she shared last month where she reinvented herself with an edgy look.
Bringing back the 80’s vibe, she experimented with a red Mohawk hairstyle. Fields flaunted the look in a series of snaps where she also donned a checked romper and a pair of silver sneakers.
With dark sunglasses and giant hoop earrings as accessories, Fields clearly knew how to stun. The post had earned over 50,000 likes and a slew of positive comments.
She explained in the caption that she was ready to start her work week and credited the people who helped her create the look.
It’s been quite a life Fields has led and she gave fans a look into that through her book which she released late last year.
She opened up about her biggest Hollywood secrets in the memoir, titled "Blessed Life: My Surprising Journey of Joy, Tears, and Tales from Harlem to Hollywood."
She also discusses her scandals, her relationships, her mishaps and successes, her miscarriages, her breast reduction surgeries, and her tragedies.
One of the highlights of her book was the revelation that she wasn't happy about her stint on "Real Housewives of Atlanta," which abruptly ended after one season.
Fields also opened up about the depression she went through after her marriage to Jonathan Freeman ended shortly before her 30th birthday.
She's now married to Christopher Morgan and shares two sons with him. The couple has been married for 11 years, despite being plagued by rumors that Christopher was gay.
Her husband has since dismissed those rumors. Read more about their 11th-anniversary celebrations here.
Those who’ve witnessed her career have seen her transform from Tootie in "Facts of Life" to a twenty-something coursing through life in Brooklyn in "Living Single."
She also appeared in the TV series "Lens on Talent," and as a performer in "Dancing With The Stars."
Just last week, Fields said goodbye to her "Facts of Life" co-star Charlotte Rae who died at the age of 92.
A mini-reunion took place during the late star’s funeral service where Fields caught up with her friend and co-star Mindy Cohn who thanked Kim for helping her get through the sad day.
Cohn shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of the two of them and wrote,
“[heart emoji] you sis…couldn’t have gotten through today without you.”
Fields and Cohn remained close throughout the years. In fact, Fields divulged that fact in her book when she talked about who she was closest to in the "Facts Of Life."
In 2012, they appeared together on "Watch What Happens Live" and talked about working with then-unknown George Clooney.
They were also together a year earlier at the 2011 TV Land Awards accepting the Pop Culture Award.
Meanwhile, a reboot of their show is reportedly in the works and will be produced by Leonardo Di Caprio and Jessica Biel.
No details have yet been provided since the news has just been released this month. However, producers are reportedly looking for a writer for the potential series.
