Stray bullet struck and killed 7-year-old girl sitting with her dad inside a car
The seven-year-old girl was declared dead at the hospital in Florida after she was shot by a stray bullet while inside the car with her father at a shopping plaza.
The incident occurred on August 11, and police have been asking for help from the public if anyone can pinpoint any potential suspects, as revealed by People.
The authorities are also searching for the people from the two groups who exchanged gunfire during the incident and later on, fled the scene.
Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry took to Twitter to express his grief over the horrific incident.

Curry wrote following the incident, “My Lord. My God. This is heartbreaking. These are our children.”
“Our cops are in pursuit of these terrible people. Prayers for the family. Our law enforcement will bring the full force of the law on those who committed this,” added the mayor.
The police soon identified the victim as Heydi Rivas Villanueva.
Reports revealed that she was sitting in the car with her father around 6 p.m. They were supposedly waiting for someone to walk out of a restaurant at the shopping plaza.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the father and daughter were waiting when two groups started shooting each other.
Suddenly, Heydi’s head was struck with a stray bullet.
The young girl passed away at a local hospital, as revealed by Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams at a press conference on August 12.
The police have given out pictures of the other cars believed to be present in the area during the shooting incident.
A green 2000’s Nissan Altima was believed to be the getaway car of the suspects.
The police also released multiple videos of potential persons of interest during the shooting incident.
A reward worth $11,000 was presented by the authorities, according to First Coast Crime Stoppers, for those who could give out information that would lead to an arrest.
