At the special anniversary, screening busted out some moves from one of the prominent scenes. They even got together with fellow co-stars to take selfies.

“Grease” was originally released in the summer of 1978. It’s been 40-years since and the leading stars John Travolta, 64, and Olivia Newton-John, 69, honored the film by attending a screening at Beverly Hills' Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

The two starred as couple Sandy Olsson and Danny Zuko. They shared a friendly kiss as they posed for photographs and even revealed that they still knew the dance moves all these years later.

The actress kept it simple in a pale pink blazer and cream straight-leg trousers. She mixed style with comfort as she wore a pair of pink slip-on shoes which were embellished.

Travolta wore a black sweater and blazer with a monochrome shirt and jeans. In the movie, he and Newton-John were love interests.

Co-stars Didi Conn, 67, who played Frenchie in the film, as well as Barry Pearl, 68, who played Doody were also present. The film’s director Randal Kleiser also joined the stars for the screening held by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

“Grease” was produced by the late Australian producer Robert Stigwood. In 1978, it was the highest grossing movie and its soundtrack album sold over 28 million copies worldwide.

It is the fourth highest grossing live-action musical in history behind “Mamma Mia!,” “Les Miserables” and “Beauty And The Beast.” The movie was set at Rydell High and followed the lives of the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies.

In April, to mark the 40th anniversary, Paramount released “Grease” on 4K, UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
