Jamie Foxx and his sister are a force to be reckoned with. The pair is inseparable, and DeOndra, like her brother, has already accomplished many things while using her position in the spotlight to raise awareness about Down syndrome.

She recently shared a pic on Facebook with an unknown gorgeous brunette. In the pic, DeOndra is rocking a striped white and pink t-shirt as she holds her phone and the lady cuddles up to her.

DeOndra is everything but shy in front of the cameras. She appeared on Jamie Foxx’s “Blame It” music video, where she stole the show with her amazing dance moves. She also took the stage by storm with Foxx on the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards and received the leading role as the 2011 Ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

As an ambassador, DeOndra spoke in the Congress about the needs of people with down syndrome and has participated in the annual “Be Beautiful – Be Yourself” gala-fashion show, organized by the Foundation to raise funds to continue the research about the syndrome, in several occasions.

“She speaks her mind and knows that there’s nothing she can’t do. She has such a special quality, and she can light up a room. I don’t know where she gets it. It’s amazing,” said Jamie of his sister to People.

DEONDRA WAS NEVER TREATED DIFFERENTLY

Jamie and his family made sure to create a loving, respectful and encouraging space for DeOndra as she was growing up. She was never treated differently from the rest of the members of their family, and that’s why she has become such a confident and smart lady.

“My mom was like, ‘You get on the bus with the regular kids, go to the regular school, do your thing,'” Foxx recalled. “In the neighborhood, that’s how it is. We just got along.”

When she graduated from high school in 2002, DeOndra moved to Los Angeles to live with her superstar brother. And she loves her life. Not only has she met her favorite celebrities and got to hand out with the likes of Quincy Jones, Iggy Azalea, and Jake Gyllenhaal, but DeOndra also has her celebrity crush on direct dial whenever she’s missing him.

Foxx revealed on an episode of the “Queen Latifah Show” that his sister is infatuated with Chris Brown, and the singer never thinks twice when it comes to showing up and hang out with her. He said:

“There’s a young man by the name of Chris Brown, who always gets a whole lotta things said about him, and he does a few things that maybe we may take out of context. But when I call Chris Brown about my sister, because she has a huge crush on him- he drops everything. No cameras around, he comes and dances with her, hangs out with her…”

“Lots of kids with Down syndrome never get a chance to shine or chase their dreams. Each one has something to offer, and each one has a dream,” DeOndra wrote in her profile on the GDS Foundation. And continued:

“Please help me and my family to advocate for so many beautiful and brilliant children with Down syndrome who’ve been neglected. Together we will make dreams come true.”
