Former "Today" show host Matt Lauer and Annette Roque were seen together at the Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, New York, on the 26th of August 2018, reported People.com.

The couple was photographed standing side-by-side, taking turns to walk their dog. The apparent complicity came as surprise since Lauer and Roque are in the process of a divorce.

Lauer, 60, and Roque, 51 have been habitués of the Hampton Classic Horse show for years, as it is close to their house.

"Some of what is being said about me is untrue or mischaracterized, but there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed."

Lauer's fall from grace

Reportedly, the couple has been separated since November 2017, and Lauer has agreed to give Roque a $20 million settlement.

Roque filed for a divorce in the aftermath of a scandal that exposed Lauer as a sexual predator, and allegations of sexual assault and sexual harassment started piling up.

Roque demanded a divorce after the sex scandal

NBC fired Lauer as host of "The Today Show" - a job he's held since 1997 - and not long after a humiliated Roque filed for a divorce.

Lauer claimed that he was innocent, but admitted that "there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed."

Lauer apologized to his family and victims

Roque and Lauer have been negotiating the divorce agreement and will be sharing custody of their children.

Lauer met Roque, a model, in 1997 on a blind date and the two were married within 6 months of their first date. They share three children: Jack, 17, Romy, 14, and Thijs, 11.

Lauer has declared that he is working on his relationship with his children and using this time for introspection. He apologized for the impact his actions had on his victims and on his friends and family.
