Chip Gaines made an obscure statement regarding his right-hand man Shorty
Recently, one especially curious fan of the reality show, “Fixer Upper,” reached out to the show's two main stars on Twitter regarding Saul “Shorty” Sanchez, who was a little less acknowledged on the show.
Chip Gaines replied to the Courtney Podgorski's post on Twitter in an ambiguous manner on August 13, 2018.
“I really miss Shorty from Fixer Upper. I hope he’s living his best life. @hgtv @joannagaines @chipgaines he must be protected at all costs,” Podgorski tweeted.

Chip informed his fans on Twitter that Shorty was doing well since the reality show's final season concluded on April 3, 2018. Shorty, Gaines' friend- who he often addresses as his “brother” is better than ever before.
“Have no fear!! My brother @shortymsanchez is living not only ‘his’ but THE best life,” replied the father-of-five to the fan's tweet.
Fans of the HGTV's series “Fixer Upper,” would recall Shorty as being Gaines's right-hand man, according to BHG.com.
Shorty's Twitter also proves that he is still a big part of the Chip and Joanna's Magnolia business.
The friendship between Chip and Shorty did not begin with the reality series. They have known and worked alongside each other for a long time, way before the start of their show that has a theme of home design and renovation.
Shorty was also one of the first persons to be hired for their Magnolia market which is Chip and Joanna's store in Waco, Texas. Since its opening in 2015, the store has become a type of destination, visited by thousands each week.
Chip had explained in his book, “The Magnolia Story,” that he and Shorty used to work together on construction projects and renovations.
The stars of the reality series “Fixer Upper” officially introduced their newborn baby boy, Crew Gaines to everyone through their social media accounts recently.
Chip shared the exciting news with his followers on Twitter on June 23, 2018. He wrote that there was a new member in the family who made it stronger.
Joanna, Chip's wife and business partner, took to her Instagram account and posted a lovely picture of herself cuddling with her baby and captioned it off with, “Cuddle bug.”
HGTV boss believes that the reality series “Fixer Upper” was a success because of the stars of the show. He added that he had no plans of reviving of the show with somebody else.
The show’s fifth and final season successfully concluded on April 3, 2018, and boss Kathleen Finch revealed that the network would feel the absence of the Gains couple. The show was pretty successful and garnered high ratings.
“What made the show special was Chip and Jo. I don’t see that we would ever make it with someone else,” Finch said in her interview with The Wrap.
