Joanna Gaines referred to her newborn son baby Crew as “Cuddle bug” in a photo shared by her with her online fans and followers. The picture showed the newborn snugly resting on his mother’s chest.

Her husband and business partner Chip Gaines also shared the happy news with his followership, announcing that the Gaines family was stronger with one more new member.

The name selected for the fifth child of the Fixer Upper couple breaks away from a naming pattern they had apparently followed with their older children.

Baby Crew's siblings are Drake, 13, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie, 8. If the pattern continued, the fifth child would have been given a name starting with ‘D’ if it was a boy or ‘E’ if it was a girl. The couple chose to name their youngest son Crew instead

The other Gaines children were as thrilled as the parents to welcome a new addition to their family. Their excitement was evident in another post shared by Joanne.

In the adorable click, all the four siblings can be seen with their ears against the door of the hospital room, while Joanne was in labor.

Joanne captioned the picture by writing how the children could barely wait to see their new baby brother.

Joanna, who turned 40 this year, did not let her age come in between Chip and her dream of having a big family.

In an interview with People, before the birth of her Crew, she shared how she quipped to her friends about being the kind of woman who would be pregnant at 45.

Chip has also been open about his wish to have more children. In an interview to Country Living one week before the baby’s arrival, he said they would give him more time to do what he loves most, “to be a dad!”
