Mother who is pregnant with triplets shocks with her terribly huge baby bump in photos

A Norwegian mother named Maria was expecting triplets and had shared photos of her shockingly huge baby bump on social media.

A short YouTube clip shows the 36-year-old mother, who was in the 33rd week of pregnancy, displaying her massive baby bump for the world to see.

Maria, who shares a two-year-old son with her Danish husband, had been documenting her pregnancy with triplets on her Instagram, Triplets of Copenhagen, which has more than 140,000 followers.

She gave birth to the triplets – Iben, Filip, and Agens – on September 12, 2018. Follow us on our Twitter account @amomama_usa to learn more.

“Everything went really well, and we are so happy and relieved,” she wrote in her Instagram post, which has been liked more than 33,000 times.

20-KILO PREGNANCY

In an earlier Instagram post, which she shared two days before her due, Maria revealed that she was carrying 20 kilograms in her womb.

She also thanked the people for their kind words and for supporting her throughout her pregnancy.

“This last week I’ve gotten a lot of new followers from all around the world, and I just want to thank you for all the love, cheering and nice words I’ve received! WOW! It’s totally overwhelming and very much appreciated,” she wrote.

In 2015, 4,123 triplet births were recorded in the US, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

EARLY PREPARATION

According to NHS, a couple should talk with a midwife or consultant early on in the pregnancy for birth options once they find out they’re expecting multiple babies.

The expectant mother will normally be advised to give birth in a hospital as there's a higher chance of complications with twins.

At a multiple births, more health professionals are around to assist the expectant mother. There may be two midwives, an obstetrician and two pediatricians (one for each baby).

The mother will already have met her obstetrician and midwives to discuss her baby's birth beforehand, so they won't all be strangers during the delivery.
