Michelle Obama gets slammed for her outfit during public appearance with friend in NYC

While Michelle Obama is usually on point with her outfits, going from classy to casual effortlessly, she was recently slammed online for her fashion choices, after being caught leaving her friend Bruce Springsteen’s show in New York City.

The former first lady has been busy this summer, traveling around with her family, attending concerts and speaking at conferences. Last week, the 54-year-old visited her friend Bruce Springsteen’s Broadway show, and she was photographed leaving the Walter Kerr Theatre with the singer afterward.

Obama was rocking a printed button-up, long-sleeved shirt and matching pants, paired with high-heeled metallic sandals. She accessorized the look with large hoop earrings and left her wavy hair cascade down her back.

While Michelle looked happy, relaxed and confident as she waved to the cameras before getting into her waiting vehicle, people over social media agreed that her outfit didn’t favor her, and they went hard on the critics for the former first lady.

Some people compared Obama’s outfit to a pair of pajamas, a couch, a clown’s costume, and even an ex-convict’s suit. Read some of the mean comments below:

Fans were surprised to see Obama and Springsteen leaving the venue at the same time, but the singer has been a friend of the family for years. The icon Rockstar supported Barack Obama on his 2008 campaign trail, and he also performed at the presidential inauguration.

In 2012, Bruce endorsed Obama one more time. The 68-year-old was also pictured vacationing with the former presidential couple last year on a yacht in Tahiti, alongside his wife Patti Scialfa, Tom Hanks, his wife and Oprah.

LIFE AFTER THE WHITE HOUSE

Despite the negative comments, Michelle has been enjoying her life after officially leaving the White House alongside her husband and kids. The former lawyer has been getting advantage of her free time now that she doesn’t have to serve the country officially. Only this summer, she went to London, France, Martha’s Vineyard and most recently, she was pictured in Mallorca, Spain.

While in the European country, Obama was a guest of former ambassador James Costos and his partner Michael Smith.

She was pictured leaving a restaurant after lunch, trying to keep a low profile while her secret service agents made sure to surround her. Michelle rocked her naturally curly hair in a big afro and donned a sleeveless dress with stripes through the outing.

Michelle’s holiday itinerary also included hiking and sightseeing some of the famous spots in the city.

A ROCKSTAR WELCOMING

Earlier in August, Obama joined her husband on their annual visit to Martha’s Vineyard. The couple has made of the Massachusetts island a regular spot for their vacations, and every time they visit the locals go wild.

When people heard they were having dinner at the Cardboard Box restaurant in Oak Bluffs, hundreds filled the streets outside the place, giving a warm welcome to the couple and hoping to catch a glimpse of their faces in the process.

Barack waved graciously and seemed in good spirits after leaving the restaurant, but Michelle looked in a hurry as she barely smiled before getting in her awaiting car.

While the couple usually travels alongside their daughters, Malia and Sasha, it seems like this time around the teenagers were busy doing their own thing.
