The grandmother wanted to win so she put her best foot forward. When she joined her granddaughter, the family immediately began to clap.
No one ever saw it coming but the elderly woman has something special up her sleeve.
In the clip, the granny can be seen getting into her routine as soon as the song “Cupid Shuffle” starts to play.
The family erupted in applause and cheering that it even makes it hard to hear the song.
However, the grandmother and granddaughter keep moving and grooving. It seemed as though the grandma doesn't let her age stop her.
The pair then suddenly turned around. When they each shimmy their behinds, the family laughed even harder
By the end of the song, the family gave them a standing ovation.
Meanwhile, another grandmother, Nana, 88, also captured the hearts of many people with her dance moves.
In a video uploaded to YouTube in 2013, Nana can be seen grooving her way out to the door and down the steps to an awaiting car. Luckily, the adorable moment was filmed by her granddaughters from the vehicle.
Unlike the other dancing grandmothers who swayed to more modern songs, Nana sticks to the classics.
Her choice of song was “Runaround Sue” by American singer and songwriter Dion DiMucci, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
