Mother of three's ex-husband writes emotional post after she gets engaged

A man named Blake Higginbotham taught the internet a lesson by congratulating his ex-wife, Heather, with whom he has three children, after she got engaged.

On September 12, 2018, Blake proved that a divorced doesn't necessarily mean that a relationship between two former lovers has to be toxic.

The father-of-three took to his Facebook account to share a very mature response to Heather's engagement and it has quickly gone viral.

THEY WERE HAPPY ONCE

According to Blake, a small business owner from Texas, he and Heather were quite young when they tied the knot. After that, the children came but their happiness didn't last.

Their relationship was getting worse and worse and they ended up filing for divorce. Now, three years later, the bitterness is gone and they have a healthy agreement between them.

BEING MATURE

Despite not being husband and wife anymore, they are still focused on raising their children the right way and, for that, they decided to support each other.

This led Blake to congratulate Heather on her engagement. He recognized her happiness and how in love she was with her new partner, who he considers to be 'a great guy.'

PUTTING THEIR CHILDREN FIRST ABOVE THEIR INTERESTS

Blake claimed that he was grateful for many things, including their relationship, and advised anyone getting divorced, or already divorced, to not hold onto negative energies.

His post was seen by Heater, who didn't waste time saying that they were a team, and that although rocky at times, their co-parenting relationship couldn't be better.
