After Fallon introduced the band as the "biggest boy band on the planet," the audience excitedly did a fan chant before they came on.

The video of the challenge is found below.

The group is known for popular hit songs like "Speak Yourself," which they discussed with Fallon. Additionally, fans favorites include "Idol" and "I'm Fine," which they performed on the show.

The "Fortnite" challenge stemmed from the video gaming sensation with the same name which blew up all over the internet since its release late last year.

The dance challenge came from Epic Games' "#BoogieDown" contest in which users could record themselves performing a dance move and submit it for inclusion in the game as an emote.

On YouTube, anyone can do the dance challenge off-game simply by imitating the moves in the game and uploading it for the world to see.

On Fallon's show, BTS seemed a bit more familiar with the most popular dances of the challenge.

Meanwhile, Fallon made a fairly decent attempt to keep up with the young superstars.

Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jimin, Jin, RM and Fallon himself each did a dance on their own. It included classics like the Electric Shuffle, The Worm, and The Robot.

Some originals like "Orange Justice," "Tidy," "Flapper," "Zany," "Best Mates," "Reanimated," "Boneless," "Ride the Pony," and the popular move "The Floss" was also showcased in the hilarious segment.

Then the newly expanded group came together to do a short routine which led to Fallon curled up in a ball on the floor while his band members did "The Floss" around him.

While BTS impressed, Fallon's performance was less than spectacular. Nonetheless, the host successfully brought a comedic twist to the whole display.

BTS is set to perform at Newark's Prudential Center on September 28 to 29. Thereafter, they have a sold-out show at the Citi Field stadium in the Tri-State area.

Fallon's show has a huge fanbase of course, but a recent poll showed that another host is still in the lead when it comes to late-night TV ratings.

The New York Post reported that "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" showed a larger viewership for the second year in a row according to Nielsen Ratings.

The domination by Colbert is attributed to his regular bashing of President Trump. Critics continue to reprimand Fallon for not picking up on the television gold mine that most divulge in on current talk-shows.

While the two hosts battle it out, Fallon continues his lip-syncing and dancing episodes with popular celebrities.

Back in June 2018, he invited Jenna Dewan, Channing Tatum's ex-wife to teach him the choreograph to Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" on the show.

Although she did her best, Fallon resorted to spinning around in circles while leaning over awkwardly and swinging his arms.
