Kate Middleton goes back from maternity leave to garden with kids for a good reason
The Duchess of Cambridge's first official event after Prince Louis' birth in a visit to a nearby school.
Duchess Kate has been on maternity leave since her third child - Prince Louis - was born back in April.
The duchess has been present at Royal events like Prince Harry's wedding, and the Queen's Birthday, but she attended as a member of the Royal Family, not as a principal.
On Tuesday, the Duchess stepped out for the first time as a representative of the Royal Family, according to People.
“She said we were lucky to live near a place like this. She was asking if we had been here to see the park progress. It was lovely of her to stop.”
AN EVENT CLOSE TO HOME AND TO THE DUCHESS' HEART
Duchess Kate, 36, visited a school just two-mile away from her home at Kensington Palace to spend time with local school children who are learning about the importance of working in a wildlife garden.
The duchess, who is a keen gardener has previously shared that she often gardens with her two oldest children, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte.

The duchess was wearing her long brown locks styled shorter and cut into layers, She wore an olive green sweater over a pretty printed silk blouse, coordinated with a green jacket by Fjällräven.

Witherspoon who has worked with celebrities like Meryl Streep and Zoe Kravitz was excited and nervous when she discovered she was going to meet the Duchess, she revealed in her new book, "Whiskey in a Teacup: What Growing Up in the South Taught Me About Life, Love, and Baking Biscuits."
Witherspoon was introduced to Duchess Kate at the Prince William's Tusk Trust wildlife charity fundraiser in Los Angeles seven years ago and she was amazed by her elegance and her warm and compassionate personality.
