Father-daughter duo became internet sensations after photos of their natural hair went viral

Benny Harlem is a New York father who has captivated a lot of people due to the clever way he chose to bond with his daughter, Jaxyn. He uses his long hair to do so.

While all relationships are different from each other, it is common to see fathers finding at least one way to bond with their daughters. Benny’s method is using one of the things he and Jaxyn have in common, their hair.

Starting in 2015, the man has shared different photos on social media posing with his daughter rocking the most extravagant hairstyles and wearing similar outfits, something that has captivated a lot of people.

THE PRESENCE IN SOCIAL MEDIA

At the moment, Benny has more than 520,000 followers on Instagram who consider that his parenting skills are adorable, outstanding, and inspiring.

He has shared photos showing both of them with huge afros and long braids while wearing makeup to make the pics even more striking.

THE RELATIONSHIP

In an interview Benny had with Huffington Post, he revealed that he and Jaxyn share a very honest relationship.

He added that he started uploading that images because he wanted to inspire others and bring back the feeling of fatherhood, just like people used to feel with they watch the “Cosby Show.”

THE HAIR TREATMENT

“I put my child on a pedestal. What my daughter knows is that if she loves herself first, love will align in her friendships, relationships, and all aspects of her life,” Benny said.

He even revealed that they treat their hair like plants, so they make their own shampoo. According to him, people’s bodies and souls need “natural ingredients,” just like most plants.

THE REWARD

Benny has taken such good care of his hair, and it has grown so much, that he even entered the record books in late-2017.

As the website of the Guinness World Records reported, the man got the title of the person with the Tallest High-Top Fade as it reached 20.5 inches when measured.

THE RELATIONSHIP OF A DIFFERENT FAMILY

Benny and Jaxyn are not the only father and daughter with a wonderful relationship. Linda Culpepper and her father, Derrick, showed the world the kind of bond they have.

Linda, who was three years old when the clip was shared to YouTube, appeared encouraging her father while he was styling her hair before going to school.

Derrick asked his daughter how he was doing it, and the proud daughter, who apparently didn’t know everything was being recorded, said, "good!"

A couple of seconds after that, Linda evaluated Derrick’s job and said "it’s almost done! You’re doing a good job!" The proud father could do nothing but thank his daughter for such wonderful words.
