White man 'tried to hit black woman with metal rod' while she was reading outside in West Hollywood
Angela Jefferson was almost hit in the head with a metal rod by a man who insulted her by calling her “the N-word” and “the B-word.” A bystander captured and uploaded the incident.
In the short clip, which displays strong language and violent content, the unidentified man appeared swinging the rod trying to hit Jefferson, who thankfully dodged the attack. Quickly, another man stood between the aggressive senior and Jefferson and asked him to leave.
The unidentified “hero,” as many labeled him, kept telling the aggressive man to leave the store before they called the police on him. At some point, the man hit a nearby table with the rod setting clear that he was not going anywhere.
ASKING FOR THE SECURITY MAN’S HELP
After that, he tried to convince the security man that he was not doing anything wrong and asked him to tell the “hero” to go away. When the video ended, the aggressive man was still in front of the store.
GETTING AWAY WITH IT
As Indy100 reported, the man seemed intoxicated, and apart from calling Jefferson the N-word, he was throwing chairs all over the place. They added that the man left the establishment, located in West Hollywood, minutes before the police arrived.
Dailydot pointed out that, although the man attempted to hit Jefferson, damaged some of the chairs and tables of the grocery store, and the attack was recorded on video, authorities “do not appear to be seeking him out for arrest.”
BEING CAUTIOUS ABOUT HIM
However, if the man returns, repeats the violent behavior, and is caught, then they will arrest him. One of the most striking aspects of the incident was that Jefferson was reading a book in front of the store minding her own business.
Despite the fact that such behavior is negative and it must stop, it is not the first time that a white person tries to hit a black one for no apparent reason. Rayne Burse knows it firsthand.
ANOTHER SIMILAR INCIDENT
While she was walking her dog in her neighborhood in Miami, a senior lady started following and harassing her saying that she didn’t belong there because she was from South Miami.
Since the altercation was getting heated, Burse began to record everything. At some point during the video, the lady tried to drag the victim’s phone, but she quickly defended herself by punching the attacker on the forehead.
After that, the 63-year-old lady, later identified as Maria Dorrbecker, was arrested and charged with simple battery, a misdemeanor in Florida.
