'RHOA': Here's what happened to former castmates after leaving the show
Just as most reality shows, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” has said goodbye to several members of its cast over the years to introduce some new ones and keep things fresh.
Even though most of the former “RHOA” stars have active lives on social media, not everybody knows what they are up to at the moment, so here’s what happened to some of them after leaving the show.
LISA WU
She was one of the main characters in the show’s first two seasons and, even though she made cameos in the ninth and tenth ones, her relevance in “RHOA” decreased. After leaving the series, she got divorced from her husband of five years, Ed Hartwell.
Nowadays, she is focusing her life in her acting career as she took a role in the short film “The White Sistas.” Apart from that, she has admitted to having a good relationship with some “RHOA” cast members, including NeNe Leaks, Kandi Burruss, and Porsha Williams.
PHAEDRA PARKS
Phaedra left “RHOA” in 2017, soon after she admitted at the season nine reunion that she lied about Kandi and Todd Tucker’s alleged plan to date rape Porsha. At the moment, she is part of the WE tv.
In an interview Phaedra had with Us Weekly, she cleared up the rumors claiming that she would be on the eleventh season of “RHOA,” pointing out that she was happy at WE tv and that she “moved on to greener pastures.”
KIM FIELDS
She has had a very active life after leaving the show in 2015. She competed on “Dancing with the Stars” next to Sasha Farber, finishing in eighth place, took the principal role in the TV film “Wrapped Up in Christmas,” and even released a book in 2017.
In an interview that Kim had with Andy Cohen, she revealed that her biggest takeaway from her time on “RHOA” was that she needed a happy place and time for herself. Kim added that she became a better person after being in the show.
DESHAWN SNOW
Even though DeShawn was only in the first season of the show and has never returned, several people consider that she was one of the most interesting and memorable cast members of all times.
After leaving “RHOA,” she got divorced from her husband, Eric Snow, lost several pounds, and launched a career as a children’s book author. At the moment, DeShawn is focused on spending time next to her children and sharing positive messages on social media.
CLAUDIA JORDAN
Claudia appeared in the seventh season of the show and has not returned as a series regular ever since. She revealed that "RHOA" wanted her back for “a friend contract,” but she considered she deserved a “full-on peach,” so she refused.
After that, she went back to California and starred on the reality show “The Next: 15.” Apart from that, she has worked on radio and taken roles in a couple of TV films, including “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.”
While most of the former members of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” have chosen a calmer life away from the cameras, most of her fans would love to see them together again to remember all the things they made them feel throughout the past seasons.
