Prince Harry honored to meet a woman who served tea to the Queen over half a century ago
Prince Harry beams as he meets up with the eighty-six-year-old lady who personally served tea to the Queen in 1953.
The royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have had a busy and exciting trip to Fiji so far, but one special meeting was yet to come.
Prince Harry went to the Colo-i-Suva forest for unveiling a dedication to the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy Project, where someone special had been hoping to get a chance to meet with the Prince.
Litiana Vulaca, now eighty-six-years old attended the unveiling, and to her, it was like yesterday she served his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II tea during her visit in 1953.

Vulaca worked at a school that received the Queen during her last visit to the beautiful island, and it was her duty to serve tea to the Queen. The headmaster taught her how to serve tea to the Queen, also how to give the tray and the way to come back.
When Prince Harry saw her with the photo of his grandmother, he went over and spent a few quality minutes talking to her. Litiana smiled from ear to ear at the opportunity to speak to the grandson of the Queen she so proudly served tea for almost 65 years ago.
Prince Harry also had a sweet reunion with the 98-year-old Daphne Dunne, as they have met three times over the past few years. The first time they met was in 2015 and the war widow stole a kiss from Prince Harry. When they met again last year she pulled the same adorable trick.
The Duke was pleasantly surprised when he spotted her in the crowd and rushed over to greet her, eager to introduce her to wife Meghan. Daphne congratulated the royal couple on the pregnancy and was quick to tell Meghan that a baby is just what Prince Harry needs. They spent a few minutes talking and Meghan smilingly added:
“Hopefully next time we see you, we’ll have a little one with us.”
Indeed a special day for everyone involved. But it is also a special time for the couple in general, with Meghan expecting their first child.
The couple is glowing and when Harry attended the Invictus Games on Sunday without Meghan, he may have hinted at the gender of their firstborn, or at least the gender he hopes for. When a member of the crowd yelled at Harry that they hope it’s a girl, he responded that he hopes so too.
With it being too early in the pregnancy to tell the gender, everyone eagerly awaits the big reveal when the time is right.
