Moore was active in several stage productions and worked both as a model and as a waiter at a coffee shop to sustain himself. Moore had not always planned to be an actor. His initial plan was to be a professional baseball player but an injury during his college days put an end to that dream. After his fate as a sportsman was sealed, Moore moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.
