Tia Mowry has an incredible relationship with her siblings, and so do her kids. Her eldest son, Cree, loves to hang out with his uncle Tahj Mowry, and the actor recently took to Instagram to share a pic of the boy where, according to fans, he looks like a young Jay-Z.
Tahj Mowry is a loving and caring uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, but it seems like he has a special bond with the oldest of his sister’s children, Cree, who recently turned 7. The pair is always handing out and having fun, whether is at the pool or out in nature.
In a recent pic shared by Tahj, Cree looks deep in thought as he sits in the middle of a clear with trees surrounding him. The boy wore jeans and a white t-shirt, and Tahj captured him looking out into nature.
“nature chats with cree cree,” Tahj captioned the pic.
Fans took over the comment section to praise Tahj and Cree’s relationship, and some even pointed out that Tia’s son looks a lot like a young version of rapper Jay-Z:
“He’s so handsome. Growing up so fast. You are a wonderful uncle!” - @bessie2u
“Best uncle award goes to... Tahj Mowry!! Photography skills on point @tahj_mowry.” - @katijiu
“wow look at Jay Z when he was little. That pretty curly hair. I remember when you were little. Just the cutest little boy I've ever seen. Always knew you were going to be handsome and sure enough I was right! ;-)” - @jamal_empire17
Cree became a big brother last May when Tia welcomed baby girl Cairo Tiahna into the world. He has taken on his protective role over his little sister with aplomb, and Tia confessed he was of great help on Cairo’s first days at home.
But as a little boy, Cree also needs lots of attention, mainly because of his peanut allergy.
Mowry recently opened up about the difficulties of having a child with a peanut allergy, as she partnered with DBV Technologies to launch an educational awareness campaign, called “Talking Peanut Allergy.”
Talking to People about his son’s condition, Tia said:
“You don’t realize how difficult it is to avoid peanuts in foods, as even the slightest risk of cross-contact can lead to life-threatening reactions. Normal activities — such as going to school, play dates, eating out at restaurants or leaving a child with a sitter — present added complications and anxiety for families with a child with peanut allergy.”
The former “Sister, Sister” actress hopes that, by sharing Cree’s story and how she has handled it, other parents and kids with peanut allergy can see that they’re not alone.
“My main thing is I don’t want my son to feel alone or different. Avoidance is difficult because a lot of things are made with trace amounts of peanuts,” she stated.
