Depressed grandma thinks she’s not pretty but looks unrecognizable after a drastic makeover

This grandmother had had a difficult year, so her granddaughter wanted to do something that brought a positive change in her life.

Mary Johnsen of Minnesota felt that she was ugly, but a famous stylist used her magic hands to make him look like a completely different person.

In 2017, Johnsen, 62, had a bad time. She was depressed and did not take much care of herself after a series of deaths of people close to her, as reported by Rumble.

Johnsen had lost her mother and other loved ones, and she also had a hospitalized friend. It was an incredibly emotional year for her, and she was struggling to cope with the many losses in her life.

After all, her granddaughter noticed that her mood was very low. She desperately wanted to cheer her up and organized a makeover for Johnsen with Christopher Hopkins, also known as The Makeover Guy.

She hoped that once her grandmother felt better about her appearance, she could see life in a more positive way.

Although she seemed excited about the prospect of the appointment, she was reluctant to see herself "pretty" again, and it took Hopkins a bit of conviction to convince her to change her appearance.

When she reached the saloon, she had long, disheveled hair hanging over her shoulders, with many gray streaks on the roots. Her granddaughter felt that her grandmother was beautiful, and wanted more than anything that she would see that for herself.

When Hopkins began to make suggestions for drastic changes in her appearance, Mary Johnsen became nervous and was unable to imagine any of the stylist's suggestions regarding her hair. Finally, he managed to convince her to give him free rein to change her appearance completely.

At the end of the appointment, Johnsen's granddaughter was surprised to see how much her grandma had changed over the course of a few hours.

Despite her hesitancy at the look Hopkins proposed, she had allowed him to go ahead and give her an asymmetric haircut, making blond highlights in the strands that remained around her face.

Her granddaughter was overwhelmed by the transformation and embraced Mary effusively when she revealed her new appearance.

A makeover is a great way to boost someone’s self-esteem when they need it the most. Like this other woman who was tired of her appearance so she decided to go to see Hopkins to get a big change in her life.

‘The Makeover Guy’ starts the makeover session by taking a close look at Janice’s hair. Then he starts to use his artistic sensibilities to give Janice a refreshing personality. She admitted that she could not think of any better person to give her that renovation than Hopkins himself.

When Hopkins has finally worked his magic, the final result is undeniably a work of art. Janice was impressed and delighted with her new look. She is heard saying that she loved it over and over before admitting that Hopkins “captured” her perfectly.
