'Toothless' driver goes on expletive-filled racist rant against Hispanic mom in viral video

A white Texas man has gone viral after he was filmed going on an expletive-filled racist rant against a Hispanic mom while her daughter was in the car. The ma has now offered an excuse for his appalling behavior.

Janet Espejel, a naturalized citizen and married mother in Houston, was returning from voting when she stopped at a red light.

In the car beside her was a man missing one of his front teeth. Now identified as Charles Geier, the man yelled at Espejel though his open window:

“You're driving in two lanes, you stupid [expletive]. That's not how we drive in America. Trump's deporting your illegal cousins today [expletive]”

Geier was most likely referring to President Donald Trump’s threats to send as many as 15,000 troops to the US-Mexico border to intercept three migrant caravans heading for the United States.

Espejel remained civil during the hateful exchange, but Geier continued to spew derogatory words and is said to have used the b-word 12 times.

“Learn English, [expletive]” Geier said, even though Espejel was communicating with him in English.

As Espejel continued to film the man, he screamed louder:

“Take all the pictures you like, [expletive]. You're ugly. You need a gay friend to help you with makeup and clothes. Ugly [expletive]. Ugly, tacky, stinky, skanky [expletive].”

FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE

Espejel, who posted the video on Facebook, told Daily Mail that even though she managed to remain civil, the incident left her shaken.

“This experience made me feel afraid and sad over how someone can treat a human being the way I was treated,” she said. “Racism and bullying are NOT OK. I wish all the hatred in the world goes away.”

Houston police are investigating whether any crimes were committed during the incident, but the Police Chief Art Acevedo wrote about it on Twitter, saying:

“The @houstonpolice Department is aware of this incident and investigators have been assigned to determine what, if any, crime was committed. Regardless of our finding, the behavior exhibited is abhorrent. #RelationalPolicing”

HE GIVES AN EXCUSE

After the video of his disgusting behavior went viral, Geier, in a statement to a local news station blamed his actions on a bipolar disorder diagnosis:

“I reacted in a very poor manner, I said things that were offensive that I shouldn’t have said, but what I want people to know is that I suffer from bipolar disorder.”

RAMPANT CASES OF DISCRIMINATION

Unfortunately, discrimination and racist rants are increasing at an alarming rate all over the United States, and only last month, a woman of Latin descent and her entire family were targeted by a white woman who for some reason did not like that they were speaking Spanish.

The sad incident happened in a restaurant in Virginia, and the white woman was caught on camera rudely asking for the family’s passport. She also said it was disrespectful of them to speak Spanish in America.

The police were called, but no charges were filed. The restaurant owner, however, stated that the racist woman was no longer welcome in his establishment.
