" I was blessed to know you ever since you were 5. You stole my heart. I will miss our inside jokes, us serenading at the piano." ~ Tamera Mowry
The heartbroken aunt reminisced on the memories she shared with Alaina. She spoke about braiding her hair and singing the national anthem together.
She then went on to express how much she loved her niece. Repeating, "I love you. I love you. I love you."
She ended the tear-jerking tribute saying, "My heart and prayers are with every victim of this tragedy." The post followed a statement from Mowry and her husband, Adam Housley wherein they revealed that their niece was one of the victims.
They had released the public statement to "US Weekly" on Thursday 8, 2018. In the statement, they said, "Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”The statement had come after Alaina's roommate tweeted, "My suitemate is still missing, she is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers, pls let me know if you know anything." Mowry had responded to the Tweet and contacted the roommate.
