Frankie Cluney, a 32-year-old woman from Brighton, England, fell in love with the hair of women in fairytale books when she was only six years old, so she has let it grow without washing it.

During an interview the lady had with Barcroft TV, she revealed that her mother had a collection of “beautiful art books.” From the first moment she looked at them, she felt attracted to the long hair of some of their characters.

At that point, she realized that she wanted to be “a mermaid and have long hair.” Almost three decades after that, Cluney managed to have floor-length locks.

NOT WASHING IT

The “real-life Rapunzel,” as she was dubbed, pointed out that she stopped trimming her 6-foot-long hair at the age of 18. That is not the only striking aspect of Cluney, though, as she added that she has not washed it since she was 13 as she “hated it.”

“It was one of my mum's friends who actually mentioned this idea of not washing your hair at all, and so I thought why not give it a go, and I think for the first couple of months it was very greasy, my scalp was a bit itchy,” confessed the woman.

LOW MAINTENANCE

While most people might believe that taking care of such long locks would be tedious and difficult, Cluney revealed that it is actually “very low maintenance” as all she does is combing it. It can take up to half an hour to detangle it, though, but she doesn’t do it every day.

One of the best things about having long hair is that she became a life drawing model, so she basically became the artists’ inspiration to create the characters that made her grow her locks in such a way.

HER THOUGHTS ON HAIR

“Hair creates this interesting, natural focal points around the figure and because where I do the life modelling, it's almost like having something to wear when you are naked. 'I have a lot of ideas of how it could inspire certain photos or art works, and I make videos using it, almost like different characters or different outfits,” added Cluney.

Xen, the woman’s mother, revealed that her parents didn’t let her grow her hair that much, so she swore that she would allow her children do whatever they want with theirs. The result is quite impressive.

ANOTHER HAIR-RELATED FAMOUS PERSON

Cluney is not the only person who is now famous over hair. A hairdresser became a viral sensation when a video showing her angrily cutting off her customer’s hair because she couldn’t pay for it hit the Internet.

In the three-and-a-half-minute clip that Facebook user Shebada uploaded, the argument had started already. The hairdresser, whose name was not revealed, appeared yelling at everyone while chopping off the hair of her customer.

NOT PROFESSIONAL

Even though another woman tried to stop her, she kept cutting in a very aggressive way up until she drained her anger away. A couple of people in the store were laughing, but they probably didn’t have anything left to do as the hairdresser had scissors with her.

At some point during the video, someone said they would call the police, something that instead of calming the hairdresser down, it made her get angrier as she kept yelling: “call the police! Call the police!” Several people consider that the way the hairdresser reacted was not professional at all.
