Carrie Underwood's little son hits her with his jealous thoughts about his future brother-to-be
When a child is used to be the only one to have his or her parents attention, the news of a sibling on the way can be conflicting. Underwood’s son is about to learn this the hard way.
The country music star’s 3-year-old son Isaiah, who she shares with husband Mike Fisher, thinks he has come up with a solution for his older brother jealousy, but as his mother puts it: “His world is about to get rocked.”
35-year-old Carrie Underwood opened up once again about Isaiah’s process to adapt to the idea of having to share his parents with his upcoming sibling, talking to People prior to host the 2018 CMA Awards on November 14.
Underwood told about her dynamics with her only son to date and wonders how all is going to change with the arrival of the new member of the family. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa
“[Isaiah] told me recently that when the new baby comes that Daddy could have that baby and then he could be mine” the “Cry Pretty” singer revealed,
And however innocent Isaiah’s clever idea of how to keep his position as his mother’s center of attention is, the soon-to-be mother-of-two wonders if her upcoming child will be more of a “daddy’s” boy or girl.
“Maybe this next one will be all Mike’s. Maybe that will be how it works out. Mike needs some love too. I feel bad for him sometimes,” the “American Idol” alum admitted.
“He loves me. He looks at me and talks to me and interacts with me like nobody else on this planet. He’ll stare at me and I’m like, ‘What are you looking at?’ And he’s like, ‘I just love you.’ What kid does that?”

Back in October, prior to another awards show, the AMA’s, on which Underwood took home the Best Female Artist award for the Country Music category, she also talked about Isaiah’s way of dealing with her pregnancy.
[He is] very excited. I’m not sure if he quite realizes how his life is going to change, but right now he’s very sweet,” Underwood said then.
The event also marked the first time she stepped in a red carpet to flaunt her baby bump since breaking the news of her second pregnancy in August.
Following that award ceremony, Underwood became one of the recipients of the 2018 CMT Artists of the Year Awards, and she joked with ET about one aspect of having a new baby sibling that doesn’t excite her firstborn much.
"He says he won't change any poopy diapers though. I understand, maybe I can change his mind,” she said.
Underwood has proved that she can handle being a successful working mother in a demanding arena such as show business is, and if this is not remarkable enough, she always kills it with her pregnancy looks.
As much as she is admired for her fashion savviness when it comes to looking fabulous while expecting, she is humble about it, stating: "I'm squeezing myself into whatever dresses I can squeeze myself into."
