Dwyane Wade's son Zaire, 16, steals hearts by sharing loving message to his newborn sister

The Wade-Union is currently on cloud nine after the birth of who Gabrielle and Dwyane call their “miracle baby.” Zaire, the eldest son of the NBA star, joined the celebration with a heartwarming message to his baby sister.

Zaire Wade gave a big welcome to his new sister on Instagram after his father, Dwyane Wade, and his step-mother, Gabrielle Union, announced to the world the arrival of their first child through a surrogate on November 7.

The 16-year-old basketball player shared an adorable family portrait of the new parents cradling their brand-new baby girl in what looks like a hospital room. And he captioned it:

“I love you sis! Your big brother is here to protect, love, and guide you. Welcome to the family.”

A “MIRACLE BABY”

Gabrielle Union has been open about her struggles with infertility, revealing in her book “We’re Going To Need More Wine” that she had eight or nine miscarriages while trying to get pregnant through an IVF process.

So, after years of failing to conceive, she and Dwyane decided to hire a surrogate this year, but kept the pregnancy away from the spotlight, taking fans by surprise last week when they announced the arrival of the girl with a heart-melting post in each of their Instagram accounts.

The couple quoted lyrics from the song “Lovely Day” in the caption and added:

“We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl! #onelastdance.”

THE NAME REVEAL

At the insistence of fans wanting to know the name of Dwyane’s daughter, the Miami Heat star took to Instagram to reveal it uniquely and originally.

The 36-year-old posted a throwback photo showing off his naked torso and focusing on his shoulders, where the words “Kaavia James” were tattooed with fresh ink. Wade revealed that he had tattooed his daughter’s name on a trip to China in August.

Little Kaavia is the first child to Gabrielle and the fourth to Dwyane. He has sons Xavier Zechariah, 5, Zion Malachi Airamis, 11, and Zaire Blessing Dwyane, 16 from previous relationships. The star is also raising his nephew Dahveon Morris, 17.

Considering that Kaavia is the first baby girl in the family, people are already predicting she’ll have a lot of bodyguards taking care of her throughout her whole life, and she’s already “daddy’s girl,” according to Union.
