Melania Trump dazzled at the Medal of Freedom ceremony in a striking blue dress.
First Lady Melania Trump accompanied her husband, President Donald Trump to the award ceremony for the Presidential Medal of Freedom on November 16, 2018, reported the Daily Mail.
While the President wore a classical charcoal gray suit, the first Lady dazzled in an elegant vibrant blue dress. Melania Trump, 48, has become one of the most watched women in the world for her unerring fashion sense and has a penchant for high-end off-the-rack designer creations.
THE FIRST LADY'S SUPREMELY ELEGANT DRESS STOLE THE SHOW
The First Lady's dress is a creation by renown French designer Roland Mouret and comes with a price tag of $1,140.
The dress is a simple sheath that display's Mouret signature tailoring. The creation has three-quarter sleeves and as its only embellishment, it displays a long metallic zipper at the back that ends in a slit at mid thigh. She accessorized with a pair of classical Christian Louboutin patent leather pumps, and wore no jewelry.
THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM
The Presidential Medal of Freedom was established in 1963 by President John F. Kennedy, and it is the highest civilian award of the United States. The medal recognizes people who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors".

HONORING SEVEN EXTRAORDINARY AMERICANS
The President selected 7 honorees, and three of the awards were posthumous.

HONORING ELVIS PRESLEY ANG BAB RUTH
The President attributed 3 posthumous Medals of Freedom to innovative musician Elvis Aaron Presley who passed away in 1977 at the age of 42; legendary baseball player Babe Ruth, who died in 1948 at the age of 53; and Supreme Court justice. Antonin Scalia.
The President reminisced about attending one of Elvis Presley's concerts and how thrilled he'd been to see the legend perform. He quipped that if the star hadn't "left the house" he "probably not be here."

MELANIA TRUMP'S HOTEL BILLS ARE A SHOCK
In September 2017 Melania Trump traveled to Canada to meet Prince Harry of Windsor on the occasion of the Invictus Games.
Her visit to Toronto lasted only 12 hours, but the hotel bills alone cost the tax-payers over $150,000. The First Lady held brief meetings at the Ritz Carlton and Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel but did not stay at the hotels.
Rates for the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel is currently approximately $500 a night in a premium suite; whereas the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto charges $500 a night for a standard room.
The First Lady's spokesperson Stephanie Grisham declared that the cost of the trip was "normal" and that Mrs. Trump travels with a much smaller contingent of staff than that of her predecessors.
