Drew Carey splits with sex therapist fiancée less than a year after their engagement

TV presenter and comedian Drew Carey and sex therapist and authoress Amie Harwick sparked dating rumors in June 2017. By February this year, the pair was engaged.

Now, less than a year into their engagement, the two have broken up. Carey’s representative recently announced the news.

Drew Carey, 60, and fiancée Dr. Amie Harwick, 37, have officially ended their relationship and marriage is off the cards. The two reportedly met at a party in June of 2017.

Rumors of their relationship started spreading the same year after "The Price Is Right" host posted a photo on Instagram of the two in Vegas for a DJ Kaskade show.

The comedian’s representative also revealed that the pair's decision to end their engagement was "very amicable." Harwick is a Playboy model-turned-sex therapist who wrote the book, “The New Sex Bible for Women.”

Her website says she’s a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in psychotherapy and sex therapy. Six months ago, Carey had shared a car selfie with his fiancée.

He captioned the post, “The face of a lottery winner (L),” while referring to himself. In another image, he and Harwick were seen laughing together and they seemed happy.

So far, Carey hasn’t made it to the altar. In 2007, the TV host was engaged to Nicole Jaracz and they broke up in 2012.

At the time, his representative had said:

“He and Nicole still have a great deal of love and affection for one another. He will still be very involved with their son’s life.”

Although Carey and Jaracz never had children together, the host remains a father-figure to her son, Connor. On it was reported that the Carey and Harwick separated just after police officers were called twice to the comedian's home in October.

At the time, he was out of town and the sex therapist called the police because she had concerns about trespassers on the property.

One lasting thing in Carey’s life has been the show he has been presenting since 2007. During an interview, the host revealed that when he shows up to the "The Price is Right" set every day he sets personal goals for himself.

He encouraged his audiences to create a vision board and set daily personal goals too. The comedian shared that the habit had the ability to help a person to identify their own definitions of happiness and success.
