Shoppers are left red-faced by an X-rated position of two polar bears in shopping center's Christmas display.

One of the customers, Ruth Hogg, took to Twitter to share photos of the two polar bears who seemed to be physically displaying their affection for each other in the middle of Tynwald Mills mall.

Hogg wrote that she "was quite amused yet disturbed by their placement of their Xmas polar bears."

The vast majority of people found the Christmas display to be very hilarious.

Tynwald Mills has now issued an apology and changed the lewd positioning.

On November 18, they stated on their Facebook page, "We'd like to thank our customers for getting a little too into Christmas this year with our Polar Bears in the atrium and can reassure you the display has changed somewhat since setup."

"Apologies to anybody offended by our somewhat interactive display," they added.

The vast majority of people found the Christmas display to be very hilarious. Some of them even told Tynwald Mills to leave it as it is.

One user wrote, "I completely understand some people may have been offended by the display and the bears had to be told to refrain themselves, however, I thought it was hilarious and harmless for the short time they were allowed to play mummy and daddy."

"From what I saw... it made everyone smile," added another. "Surely that is no bad thing."

"I think its fab and you should leave it as it is," commented another user. "Cheered me up and lots of others."

Tynwald Mills is the only department store on the Isle of Man - the self-governing island located between Ireland and Great Britain.

The shopping center has been established for three decades.

As for polar bears, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) listed them as a vulnerable species.
